Buttery Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings
TIPS & TINGS TO NOTE:
Lemon zest:
When zesting your lemon make sure to avoid scraping the white pith as much as possible. If you get a little bit of it along with the yellow zest that is okay, however too much of it will make your seasoning bitter.
How much lemon pepper seasoning to add:
Add as much or as little of the lemon pepper seasoning as you like and prefer. I would start with half the quantity in this recipe- try it- and adjust. If necessary you can save the remaining seasoning in the fridge.
Cooking time:
The cooking time will vary based on the size of your chicken wings. These medium size wings took about 16 minutes in my air fryer. Make sure to adjust your cooking time accordingly. the centre of your wings should not contain any pink flesh, juices or blood. You can also use a quick read thermometer and the internal temperature of the chicken should be a minimum of 165 degrees F.
